Rules for using the Cocoon network
Effective date: October 29, 2025
1) Acceptance
By accessing or using Cocoon, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the network on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2) Definitions
- Developer: a party sending inference jobs to the network.
- GPU Owner / Node Operator: a party providing compute capacity to process jobs.
- Job: an inference request including model, tokens, and any parameters/SLA.
- TON: the digital asset used for payouts and settlement on the network.
3) Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You’re responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for keeping your credentials secure.
4) Developer terms
- You retain ownership of prompts, outputs, and application data. You grant Cocoon the rights necessary to route and process jobs.
- No unlawful, harmful, or infringing content. No attempts to deanonymize users or probe nodes without authorization.
- Provide accurate model details and expected usage; respect rate limits and SLAs.
- Do not send personal data unless strictly necessary; you are the controller of such data.
5) GPU owner terms
- Provide truthful hardware specs, uptime expectations, and region. Maintain adequate bandwidth and security for your nodes.
- Process jobs only within the permitted environment; don’t inspect or retain customer data beyond what’s necessary to perform the job.
- Follow network policies and updates (e.g., minimum uptime, software versions, monitoring).
- Payouts are made in TON to addresses you provide. You are responsible for your wallets, private keys, and any applicable taxes.
6) Fees, settlement, and taxes
Pricing and rewards may vary by model, region, and capacity. All on-chain transactions are final. Network fees and volatility of TON may affect the value received. You are responsible for all taxes and fees related to your use of the network.
7) Confidentiality & data handling
We practice data minimization and isolate job execution. The network does not intentionally train on customer prompts/outputs. You agree not to attempt to extract or retain job content beyond what is required to complete the job.
8) Acceptable use
- No illegal content or activity, malware, harassment, or exploitation.
- No attempts to interfere with the network, other users, or node security.
- No reverse engineering or scraping except as permitted by law.
9) Intellectual property
Except for your content, all rights in the Cocoon website, APIs, documentation, and branding are reserved by Cocoon. You may not use our marks without permission.
10) Disclaimers
The network is provided “AS IS”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, model accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties.
11) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cocoon will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the amounts you paid to Cocoon (if any) for the services in the 3 months prior to the claim.
12) Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Cocoon and its affiliates from any claims arising from your content, use of the network, or violation of these Terms.
13) Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for any violation of these Terms or for risk to the network or other users. You may stop using the network at any time.
14) Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Cocoon is incorporated (to be specified on launch). Venue for disputes will be in that jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
15) Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the network after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
